THE CONTROVERSIAL REPLICA ROLEX SUBMARINER
The Submariner is a crucial model in Rolex’s history, significantly influencing the entire Swiss watch industry. Many individuals consider a Rolex as their first watch purchase, with the Submariner often being their top choice. Its popularity stems from its stability and versatility, making it suitable for various occasions, whether paired with business suits or used for diving—it’s truly an exceptional timepiece.
In the replica watches market, the Rolex Submariner remains highly sought after, particularly the models 116610LN and 116610LV. Initially, there weren’t many manufacturers producing replicas, with BP and Noob being the primary players. Noob is recognized for creating the finest Submariner replicas, while BP is known for lower to moderate-quality Rolex replica wacthes. However, the replicas of the Submariner 116610LN and 116610LV have sparked considerable debate due to the influx of factories entering this space, all producing high-quality replicas, which has confused buyers about where to make their purchases.
In this article, I’m not here to declare which factory produces the best replicas of the Submariner 116610LN or 116610LV, as I don’t have that information. My aim is to share some insights. First, for quality Submariner replicas, I recommend purchasing from Noob, AR, or ZZ—these are the three factories I endorse. Second, while I can’t confirm which factory creates the best version, I know that many of you reading this are also members of replica watch forums, where many active participants are workers from trusted dealers. When new products are released, they often promote them vigorously. So, can you truly trust their endorsements? For instance, when the ZZ factory released the V2 Submariner, they claimed it was the best on the market—was it really superior to Noob’s?
As mentioned earlier, each factory has its strengths and unique selling points. For the Submariner, AR is known for having the best case and bracelet finish, Noob excels in dial details, and ZZ stands out for its bezel, particularly on the green Submariner 116610LV, which is the most accurate in terms of the green bezel’s color. This might explain why ZZ’s green Submariner 116610LV is priced higher than Noob’s.
It seems that Noob has recognized the strong competition from ZZ, and for their next generation of Submariner, they are likely to enhance the ceramic bezel, especially for the green ceramic on the 116610LV. In previous Noob Submariner versions from V5 to V8, the bezel markers often faded. Noob addressed this in the V10 edition, but on their green Submariner 116610LV, some pieces exhibit tiny black spots in the green ceramic, so it’s advisable to ask your dealers to inspect them closely to avoid receiving a subpar unit. I believe Noob will continue to refine the ceramic bezel in their upcoming V11 or V12 editions. On the other hand, ZZ claims that their black Submariner 116610LN and green Hulk 116610LV have bezel markers that will not fade, thanks to their real Platinum coating.
I was fortunate to acquire a Hulk Submariner from ZZ factory previously, and upon comparing it with Noob’s, I found that ZZ indeed produces a superior green ceramic bezel, closely matching the genuine Hulk’s color. However, whether it will fade over time remains to be seen. Regardless, if you’re looking for a Hulk Submariner, both Noob and ZZ offer solid options, but currently, ZZ has the best green ceramic bezel. Additionally, the latest black Submariner from ZZ is the V2 edition, while the latest green Submariner is the V2s.Below, I’ve shared some photos and videos of the ZZ Green Submariner 116610LV for you to check out.
